Train with us – Initial Teacher Training
As well as striving to provide “a great education in a great comprehensive school” we are committed to training and equipping the teachers of the future, in line with our core values.
Trainees benefit from first class support from Subject Mentors, a strong blend of theoretical and practical training as well as feeling part of the wider school community. All our trainees have gone on to a career in teaching, many of them with us.
We work with the Universities of Durham and Northumbria to host PGCE training placements, but we also offer a route to train with us directly through Teach First.
